2. What data we collect

Newsletter subscription

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. Subscription uses a double opt-in process: you receive a confirmation email and only become a subscriber once you confirm. We record the time of your subscription and confirmation.

We use your email address solely to send you updates about Hadronic. We do not sell it, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use it for profiling.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter, or by writing to contact@hadronic.com. After you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the mailing list.

Server logs

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, and the time of access. This data is required to deliver the website reliably and securely, and is not combined with other data to identify you.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and stable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting platform may set technically necessary cookies, for example to manage the newsletter signup and member session. These cookies are required for the site to function and do not track you across other websites.

Job applications

Applications for open positions are collected through a Google Form linked from this website. When you submit the form, your data is processed by Google (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) on our behalf and is subject to Google's privacy policy in addition to this one. We use the information you provide solely to evaluate your application and to contact you about it. We keep application data only for as long as needed to run the recruiting process, then delete it, unless you agree to a longer retention, for example to be considered for future openings.

Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

3. Who processes data on our behalf

This website and our newsletter are operated on Ghost(Pro), a hosting platform run by the Ghost Foundation (ghost.org). The Ghost Foundation processes data on our behalf as a processor under a data processing agreement, and relies on vetted subprocessors, for example for email delivery.

Some of these providers may process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that is the case, transfers are safeguarded by recognized mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. How long we keep data

  • Newsletter data: for as long as you remain subscribed. Deleted after you unsubscribe.
  • Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
  • Application data: kept for the duration of the recruiting process, then deleted, unless you consent to longer retention.

5. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you have the right to:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data deleted
  • restrict or object to processing
  • receive your data in a portable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. If you are in the EU or EEA, you may contact the supervisory authority of your place of residence.
